Startale Group is setting up in Abu Dhabi after being selected for the Hub71+ Digital Assets cohort. The blockchain infrastructure company said the move will anchor its operations within Abu Dhabi Global Market, or ADGM, where it plans to deploy staff and widen its presence in blockchain infrastructure, application development, and stablecoin work across the Middle East.
Hub71+ Digital Assets is a specialist Web3 ecosystem backed by more than $2 billion in committed capital for Web3 startups and blockchain technologies. The program is supported by Mubadala Investment Co. and the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development. ADGM has become a major financial center for digital asset firms because of its clear regulatory framework.
Chosen From More Than 2,400 Applicants
Startale was picked from a pool of more than 2,400 applicants and is one of 27 companies joining Hub71’s 18th cohort. According to the company’s media statement, the selection links Startale with a network of regulators, institutional partners, and capital providers tied to the region’s digital asset strategy.
CEO Sota Watanabe said Hub71 and ADGM offer the regulatory clarity and global reach the company needs to scale its ecosystem responsibly. He added that Abu Dhabi is becoming a key center for digital assets and that joining the cohort gives Startale a stronger base to expand across Eastern and Western markets.
$63 Million Series A Supports Multiple Projects
The Abu Dhabi push comes after Startale closed a $63 million Series A round. The company said the funding strengthened its ability to speed up blockchain and stablecoin infrastructure efforts in regulated markets. Its current pipeline includes Soneium, developed with Sony Block Solutions Labs, Strium, and stablecoin projects such as JPYSC with SBI Group and USDSC, along with the consumer-facing Startale App.
Within the Hub71+ Digital Assets program, Startale said it will scale across three focus areas: blockchain infrastructure, application development, and stablecoin innovation. Hub71 startup journey lead Divya Claudia Nair said the company’s focus on digital asset infrastructure reflects the strength of the ecosystem and the quality of founders choosing Abu Dhabi as a base for international growth.
Abu Dhabi Becomes a Base for Regional Expansion
Startale plans to place personnel in Abu Dhabi and work with regulators, investors, and partners as it expands across the Middle East and other markets. The ADGM entry gives the company a regulated operating base as it develops its blockchain networks, stablecoin infrastructure, and application-layer products.
