The stock token meme trade has been running for more than a month, but the outcome has varied sharply across chains. Robinhood Chain has taken the lead in token count, with 194 stock tokens and a lighter issuance process based on a master prospectus approved by Liechtenstein’s FMA and stock-specific Final Terms. BNB Chain, backed by Binance’s bStocks, has the largest issuance market value at 687 M across 70 stock tokens, yet still faces a slower listing cycle. Base has adopted a similar compliance path to bStocks, but only has 10 stock tokens with a combined issuance market value of 12 M, leaving its meme ecosystem constrained by a lack of underlying assets. Solana has gone in a different direction, relying on third-party xStocks rather than a native stock token system and widening its launchpad asset pool beyond equities. Across all four, the article argues that compliance structure shapes listing speed, listing speed determines how many assets can be traded, and launchpads plus liquidity decide whether those assets can actually turn into a meme market.

Robinhood-led stock token meme trading has been active for more than a month, but the pace has not been the same across chains. Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, Base and Solana are all tied to the same stock-themed meme narrative, yet they have produced very different results.

How BNB Chain, Robinhood Chain, Base and Solana Are Diverging in Stock Token Memes 2

The gap starts with issuance design, compliance routes and launchpad structure. Those differences have shaped how many stock tokens each chain can bring onchain, and how quickly meme trading can form around them.

BNB Chain: largest issuance value, slower expansion

Binance formally launched bStocks in June 2026. The tokens are issued by BTech Holdings, each one corresponds to a real underlying stock, and they circulate on BNB Chain.

For each new bStock, BTech Holdings must prepare issuance documents for the relevant security and obtain both Prospectus approval and Official List admission from the ADGM Financial Services Regulatory Authority. Binance lists the token only after that process is completed.

bStocks currently includes 70 U.S. stock tokens with a combined issuance market value of 687 M. With Binance backing the product, bStocks is described as the largest stock token set among the four in issuance value and liquidity.

On the stock token meme front, though, BNB Chain has lagged Robinhood. The article points to two bottlenecks: the number of stock tokens available and insufficient launchpad coverage for bStocks.

The two larger launchpads on BNB Chain are Four Meme and Flap.

Four Meme and 4Stock

Four Meme recently introduced 4Stock to deal with the pace issue. Before an official bStock goes live, the platform can use USDC submitted by users to buy the real stock, then mint 4Stock on a 1:1 basis according to the number of shares actually purchased. Once the corresponding bStock is listed, Four Meme plans to support a 1:1 conversion.

Flap and meme pools based on bStocks

Flap currently supports 22 bStocks as meme pool assets, clearly more than Four Meme. The article says this helped produce popular stock-themed memes such as Niulai and MarsCoin, both of which have already been listed on Binance futures.

Flap also allows custom taxes and a minimum holding threshold for dividend eligibility. That gives the platform more room to design trading mechanics around stock-themed memes.

Even so, the main issue on BNB Chain remains the listing pace for stock tokens. Robinhood can move more quickly when a new stock token appears, making it easier for meme assets to track fresh equity narratives. The article says 4Stock may help close that gap, and adds that BNC has already tested the model’s feasibility.

Robinhood Chain: the widest stock token lineup

Robinhood first launched Stock Tokens in June 2025, initially on Arbitrum. After Robinhood Chain mainnet went live in July 2026, the company introduced a new generation of stock tokens and moved them onto Robinhood Chain.

Its issuance route is different from the others. Robinhood first obtained approval from Liechtenstein’s Financial Market Authority for a unified base prospectus. After that, adding a new stock only requires Final Terms for the relevant underlying asset, rather than a full new prospectus each time.

Robinhood Chain now has 194 stock tokens with a combined issuance market value of 158 M.

The article describes Robinhood as one of the earliest chains to make the stock token meme trade work at scale. It also says @vladtenev has taken a relatively open stance toward Robinhood memes, and that Robinhood has listed some native Robinhood Chain assets.

Because Robinhood is known for strict listing reviews on crypto assets, the article says any native onchain asset that makes it onto Robinhood tends to draw extra attention and buying interest.

Two launchpads stand out on Robinhood Chain: Pons and Long.

Pons

Pons, listed in the article as @ponsdotfamily, is described as the largest launchpad on Robinhood Chain. It has a V1 and a V2 version. V1 is mainly for meme launches, while V2 supports pools paired with stock tokens. Creators can receive 70% of fee revenue.

Long

Long, listed as @longdotxyz, supports slightly more stock tokens than Pons. Tickers on the platform are unique and cannot be duplicated once created. The platform does not support built-in dev buys and does not reserve initial token allocations for creators.

The article argues that Robinhood’s issuance structure gives it a faster expansion cycle than its peers and an advantage in token count, which is a major reason Robinhood Chain has outperformed in this round of stock token meme trading.

Base: similar compliance route, much smaller footprint

Base launched the B20 standard on mainnet in July 2026. In August, Coinbase formally introduced stock tokens on Base, with the first batch including AAPL, GOOGL, META and NVDA, all issued as B20 tokens.

Its expansion process resembles bStocks. Each new product requires a Prospectus to be submitted to ADGM FSRA for the corresponding certificate, and issuance begins only after approval.

Base currently has 10 stock tokens with a combined issuance market value of 12 M.

Although Base follows a compliance route similar to bStocks, the listing pace has been much slower. The article reads that as a sign the framework is still in an early adjustment phase. As a result, Base is well behind the other chains in stock token scale, and stock-themed meme trading has yet to show a clear wealth effect there.

That shortage of underlying assets also limits what launchpads can do.

O1 already supports the 10 stock tokens issued on Base and has expanded to Robinhood Chain as well. The article describes it as one of the launchpads supporting the largest number of stock tokens on Robinhood Chain, and says several stock-themed memes on the platform have performed well.

Base has also seen platforms such as @Stonks_Exchange and @BaseStonk, mainly making smaller design changes around fees and dividends.

Still, the biggest constraint for Base is the number of available stock tokens. Even if launchpads integrate quickly, ecosystem growth stays limited without a broader asset base. At this stage, the article says the more obvious upside on Base may sit in launchpad tokens themselves.

Solana: no native system, relying on xStocks

Solana has taken a different path from the other three. It does not yet have its own native stock token issuance system and mainly relies on third-party xStocks.

xStocks launched on Solana in June 2025 with an initial batch of more than 60 U.S. stocks and ETFs. The product is issued by Backed, and each token is backed 1:1 by the corresponding underlying stock.

That pushed Solana toward another model. Stonk Fun, a newer Solana launchpad, has chosen to widen the asset pool instead of waiting for a native stock token framework.

According to the article, Stonk Fun supports a broad range of assets including ZEC, HYPE and TAO, allowing pools to be built around popular crypto assets as well as equity-linked ones.

That means Solana is not especially strong in stock-themed memes, but it does have a wider asset universe. The article gives ZCat as an example, saying it used the ZEC narrative to bring external attention into platform trading. Even so, stock-themed memes on the platform are still described as relatively average so far.

What separates the four chains

Placed side by side, the four chains suggest the stock token meme market is not as random as it looks.

The article’s framework is direct: compliance structure sets the pace of product expansion, expansion speed determines how many assets can be traded, and launchpads plus liquidity decide whether those assets can turn into an actual meme cycle.

For Base and BNB Chain, the common issue is expansion speed. The article says BNB Chain has already tried to address that through infrastructure, while Base is moving slowly enough that compliance review for four targets has already been delayed by half a month.

For Solana, the article says both infrastructure and developer strength are top-tier, but the chain’s official direction has not lined up with stock-themed memes. It also notes that Pump fun only introduced stock trading pairs recently.

The piece adds that tokens linked to the stock meme trade, including PONS, began to pull back yesterday. Even so, the author’s view is that this marks the end of the first phase rather than the end of the broader narrative.

The article closes by arguing that only "star stocks" have been listed so far, while the tokenization of equities is likely to continue. As ETFs, commodities and more traditional assets move onchain faster, meme liquidity pools may broaden with them.

In that setup, the next thing to watch is expansion speed. The chain that can move more real-world assets onchain more quickly may be in the best position to capture the next market hotspot and shape the next phase of onchain speculation.
