Strategy (MicroStrategy), the world's largest corporate Bitcoin holder, added to its stash again. A Form 8-K filed with the SEC on June 22 shows that between June 15 and 21, the company raised funds via stock sales and spent approximately $34.9 million to acquire 520 BTC.

The acquisition price averaged around $67,068 per coin (including fees). As of June 21, Strategy's total Bitcoin holdings reached 847,363 BTC, with aggregate purchase costs of about $64.1 billion and an average cost basis of roughly $75,651 per BTC.

ATM Issues and Preferred Stock Fuel Purchases

As usual, Strategy funded the latest buy primarily through its At-The-Market (ATM) equity offering program. During the same period, the company sold 2,714,839 shares of MSTR (Class A common stock), under the $21 billion expansion announced in late March 2026.

Additionally, Strategy raised capital via perpetual preferred stock offerings (including STRF, STRC, STRK, and STRD series). The filing notes a notional value of approximately $335.5 million for certain series, with net proceeds after commissions supporting the ongoing Bitcoin accumulation.

$1.4 Billion Reserve Cushions Liquidity

Alongside aggressive buying, Strategy reinforced its financial buffer. The company established a dedicated "USD Reserve" in late 2025 to cover preferred stock dividends and debt interest. As of June 21, the reserve balance stood at $1.4 billion (including anticipated cash from unsettled ATM sales). Strategy said it will continue replenishing the reserve based on market conditions to maintain the credit quality of its digital credit-linked securities. A public dashboard on the company's website allows investors to track Bitcoin purchases and key performance indicators in real time.
