Raising Rates for STRC, Selling BTC for Credit: Strategy's Costly Path
Strategy is facing a confidence crisis as its stock price plunges. To address funding pressures, the company introduced a Digital Credit Capital Framework, institutionalizing the sale of Bitcoin to maintain liquidity. The framework encompasses dollar reserve requirements, dynamic dividend assessments, and a Bitcoin liquidation plan. Although the market rebounded briefly after the announcement, long-term cash flow pressures have not eased. Market participants are skeptical about whether the company can sustain its dividend payments without further diluting equity or selling more Bitcoin.

Details of the Digital Credit Capital Framework
The core mechanism of the framework involves building a dollar reserve pool, dynamically assessing dividend capacity, and setting a Bitcoin liquidation plan for emergency liquidity needs. This essentially treats Bitcoin holdings as a credit buffer, selling a portion of BTC to protect credit ratings and dividend compliance. However, analysts view this as the "most expensive route"—on one hand, it exposes STRC tokens to downward pressure from interest rate hikes; on the other hand, it undermines long-term confidence in the BTC holding strategy.
