Bitcoin treasury company Strategy said it will contribute to Trump Accounts for the children of its U.S. employees, making it one of the latest public companies to add corporate money to the federal savings program.

The Tysons Corner, Virginia-based company, which trades on Nasdaq under MSTR, said it will deposit $250 each year into a Trump Account for every eligible child under 18 of a U.S. employee, no matter when the child was born.
For children born on or after Jan. 1, 2025, Strategy said it will also make a one-time $1,000 contribution in the child’s birth year. That matches the $1,000 seed deposit the U.S. Treasury provides to newborns under the program.
Strategy joins the Invest America Business Pledge
In a post dated Aug. 5, 2026, Strategy said it had joined the Invest America Business Pledge and would match the U.S. Treasury’s $1,000 Trump Accounts contribution for newborns of U.S. employees, while also adding $250 annually for each eligible child.
President and Chief Executive Officer Phong Le said in a statement that Trump Accounts and the Invest America initiative can help build a stronger financial future for America’s children. He said the accounts can encourage financial education, long-term thinking, and a culture of saving and investing from an early age, goals he said are closely aligned with Strategy’s values.
How the Trump Accounts program works
Trump Accounts were created under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which Trump signed in 2025. Treasury guidance refers to them as 530A accounts, and the program launched on July 4, 2026. Each account is a tax-advantaged investment account for a child.
On July 4, the government made one-time $1,000 seed deposits into accounts for more than 500,000 children. Children who are U.S. citizens and were born between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2028, qualify for that federal deposit. Families can contribute as much as $5,000 a year.
The funds are locked until the child turns 18, at which point the account converts into a traditional individual retirement account.
Trump says Bitcoin could enter the program one day
At a July Oval Office event marking the launch of the accounts, President Trump said Bitcoin could one day play a role in the new Trump Accounts savings program. The report also said Trump campaigned on helping the sector and received major backing from digital asset entrepreneurs. Since taking office, Trump has passed several pieces of pro-crypto legislation.
The report first appeared in Bitcoin Magazine and was written by Mathew Di Salvo.
