Strategy said in an 8-K filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it bought 4,603 BTC between Aug. 24 and Aug. 30, 2026, at an average price of about $80,318 per coin, for a total of roughly $369.7 million. The company said the purchase was funded with proceeds from its MSTR common stock at-the-market, or ATM, program. Over the same period, Strategy sold 4.5314 million shares of MSTR common stock through the ATM program and generated about $602.8 million in net proceeds. Of that amount, $369.7 million was used to buy Bitcoin, $151.8 million went to repurchase STRC preferred stock, $50.7 million was used to pay STRC dividends, and $30 million was allocated to the USD Cash liquidity account. Strategy also said it repurchased 1.5572 million shares of STRC preferred stock for $151.8 million, leaving about $364.8 million remaining under the preferred stock repurchase authorization. As of Aug. 30, the company held 845,050 BTC with an aggregate cost basis of about $63.73 billion and an average purchase price of about $75,412. Its USD Reserve balance stood at $5.1 billion and USD Cash was $1.61 billion, both largely unchanged from the prior week.

Of that total, $369.7 million was used to purchase Bitcoin, $151.8 million was used to repurchase STRC preferred stock, $50.7 million was used to pay STRC dividends, and $30 million was placed into the USD Cash liquidity account.

STRC preferred stock buyback

The filing also said the company repurchased 1.5572 million shares of STRC preferred stock for $151.8 million. After that transaction, about $364.8 million remained under the preferred stock repurchase program.

Bitcoin holdings as of Aug. 30

As of Aug. 30, Strategy held 845,050 BTC in total. Its aggregate cost basis was about $63.73 billion, with an average purchase price of about $75,412 per Bitcoin.

The company also reported a USD Reserve balance of $5.1 billion and a USD Cash balance of $1.61 billion, both largely unchanged from the previous week.
