Strive added 18 BTC at an average price of $64,028 per coin, including fees and expenses, for a total outlay of about $1.2 million. The purchase lifted the company’s bitcoin treasury to 19,900 BTC, a relatively small increase compared with the larger acquisitions it made earlier.

A much smaller buy than prior treasury additions

The latest transaction stands out less for size than for timing. Strive’s earlier bitcoin purchases were far larger and were executed at much higher prices. In late 2025, the company bought 1,567 BTC at an average of $103,315 per coin. It then added another 123 BTC in January 2026 at an average price of $91,561.

As of July 10, Strive reported $154.1 million in cash and cash equivalents, up $700,000 over the previous eight days. The company also said it still held 505,000 shares of Strategy’s Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock, or STRC, with a fair value of $44.2 million. That position declined by $202,000 during the reporting period. Its own Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock, SATA, remained outstanding at 7.83 million shares.

Public market shift centered on bitcoin reserves

Strive was founded in 2022 by Vivek Ramaswamy and Anson Frericks as Strive Asset Management. In 2025, it became a public company through a reverse merger with Asset Entities and began trading under the ticker ASST. At that point, the firm repositioned itself as a public bitcoin treasury company, making bitcoin accumulation a core strategic objective.

During the same period, Strive received approval to acquire Semler Scientific in an all-stock transaction expected to add 5,048 BTC to its balance sheet. After the merger, combined bitcoin holdings stood near 12,800 BTC. By May 1, 2026, the treasury had grown to 15,000 BTC. The latest update brings that figure to 19,900 BTC.

Measured buying pace as liquidity stays high

The new purchase points to a slower accumulation pace. Earlier buys were made above $90,000 per bitcoin, while this 18-coin transaction came during a period when bitcoin’s market price had fallen sharply in the first half of the year. Based on the company’s disclosures, Strive is maintaining substantial liquidity while awaiting completion of the Semler Scientific deal, with bitcoin still central to its long-term balance sheet strategy.
