Strive said it purchased 2,500 Bitcoin in the public market between May 23 and June 1, 2026, spending about $185.2 million in total. Its disclosed average purchase price was roughly $74,092 per BTC, including fees and related costs. After the buy, the Nasdaq-listed company’s Bitcoin holdings rose from 16,500 BTC to 19,000 BTC.

New 8-K filing details the latest purchase

Strive, Inc. (Nasdaq: ASST) submitted a Form 8-K to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on June 2, while CEO Matt Cole posted the update on X the same day. The filing outlined the transaction and the company’s latest balance-sheet position, showing that Strive added to its Bitcoin stack over a little more than one week.

Cole also shared what the company called a “Strive Snapshot” of its Bitcoin reserve metrics. The figures listed QTD BTC Yield at 23.0%, YTD BTC Yield at 36.7%, and an amplification ratio of 57.0%. Those numbers were presented alongside the latest accumulation update.

Preferred stock sale raised about $175 million

To support the purchase and preserve liquidity, Strive raised about $175 million during the same period by issuing its Floating Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock, traded under the ticker SATA. The filing said SATA shares outstanding increased from about 5.76 million to 7.51 million.

The company said the financing was not only used for Bitcoin purchases. It also boosted cash on hand. Cole stated that the higher cash balance was intended in part to maintain a 18-month dividend reserve.

Cash climbed to $137.3 million

Strive’s balance-sheet update showed cash and cash equivalents rising from $93.3 million to $137.3 million, an increase of $44 million. Over the same period, Bitcoin holdings increased by 2,500 BTC. Its STRC stock position slipped from $50.10 million to $49.50 million, a decline of $0.6 million.

On social media, Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor reposted Cole’s message and wrote, “@Strive for Bitcoin.” Strive’s disclosure also showed that its balance sheet includes nearly $50 million worth of STRC, a preferred stock linked to MicroStrategy.
