Sui, a layer-1 blockchain, has reached a new milestone in decentralized finance. According to DeFiLlama, the network’s total value locked (TVL) climbed above $2.6 billion as of October 10, 2025, marking a fresh high for the ecosystem.

The pace of growth has been notable. Sui’s TVL increased 37% over the past month and 160% over the past year. The rise has been linked to expanding liquidity across major DeFi protocols on the network, particularly Suilend, Navi, and Momentum, which have helped deepen capital activity within the ecosystem.

Broader DeFi Recovery Supports Network Growth

Sui’s momentum comes as the wider DeFi market has also posted a strong recovery. Total DeFi TVL across the market has more than doubled over the past year to $175 billion, representing a 104% annual increase. That broader backdrop suggests capital is returning to on-chain financial applications, benefiting networks with growing protocol depth and user participation.

For Sui, rising TVL may indicate stronger protocol usage, improved liquidity conditions, and increasing confidence from users and capital providers. As competition among layer-1 chains intensifies, TVL remains one of the most closely watched indicators of ecosystem traction.

Partnerships and Gaming Integration Add to the Outlook

Beyond DeFi, Sui is also expanding its ecosystem through new partnerships and application integrations. The project has announced a collaboration with World Liberty Financial and is preparing to integrate EVE Frontier, a major Web3 gaming project. These developments point to a broader strategy that extends beyond finance into additional on-chain use cases.

At this stage, DeFi liquidity growth remains the primary driver behind Sui’s TVL increase. However, ecosystem partnerships and gaming-related expansion could become important catalysts for future user growth and network activity.
