Surf, an AI company focused on digital asset research, has entered a strategic partnership with South Korean digital asset exchange Bithumb, bringing Surf’s analytics layer into the Bithumb app across all 450-plus KRW trading pairs on the platform. The integration lets users analyze assets and place trades within the same interface, according to the announcement. Bithumb currently has more than 8 million users. The rollout includes four core features: an AI scoring system built jointly by the two companies, daily AI reports refreshed four times for each asset, an AI question module that turns market structure and capital flows into guided prompts and macro interpretation, and a daily morning AI news feature linking market news with price moves and source URLs. Surf said its system does not rely directly on a general-purpose model for this use case. Instead, it freezes market data, on-chain activity, news and social signals into timestamped snapshots every five minutes, runs more than 100 automated quality checks, generates content first in English and then translates it into Korean, with an LLM evaluator assigning scores before output. Surf also said the system has processed more than 500 million market and technical data points since launch.

Surf has formed a strategic partnership with South Korean digital asset exchange Bithumb, and Surf’s AI analytics layer is now integrated into the Bithumb app, covering all 450-plus KRW trading pairs on the platform. Users can analyze assets and place orders within the same interface. Bithumb currently has more than 8 million users.

Four AI features are now live in the app

The integration includes four functions.

  • AI Scoring: A scoring framework developed jointly by Surf and Bithumb converts real-time market data into four indicators — momentum, volume, stability, and support and resistance — then weights those inputs to score and rank listed tokens.
  • AI Reports: Each asset comes with a report refreshed four times a day, including price trend forecasts and explanations for the drivers behind them.
  • AI Questions: This feature turns market structure and capital flows into questions and macro interpretations.
  • AI News: A morning update each day links market news with price action and includes source URLs.

System design reflects Korean compliance requirements

Surf said it did not directly use a general-purpose model because of South Korea’s regulatory requirements on content published externally by financial institutions. Instead, every five minutes it freezes market data, on-chain activity, news and social signals into timestamped snapshots, then runs more than 100 automated quality checks before feeding that material to the model. The content is generated first in English, then translated into Korean, and scored by an LLM evaluator.

The company said the system has processed more than 500 million market and technical data points since going live.

30,000 promo codes to be offered to Bithumb

Surf will also provide 30,000 promo codes to Bithumb between Aug. 31, 2026 and Sept. 30, 2026. Each code can be redeemed for three weeks of Surf Pro access.
