SyntaxVerse has disclosed a scam tied to its attempt to secure a BingX listing, saying the incident disrupted plans for the SYNTAX token launch. The project alleges that a person posing as an official BingX listing agent contacted the team on Telegram, passed two verification steps, received an upfront payment, and then erased the conversation after asking for more money.
Project says the contact cleared two verification checks
According to SyntaxVerse, the team was actively pursuing listings with major exchanges when it was approached by the supposed BingX agent. The project says it did not rely on the Telegram contact alone. Instead, it checked the agent's username through BingX's official portal and also verified an email sent from a BingX corporate domain.
SyntaxVerse says both checks appeared valid, so the team paid what it described as a standard upfront deposit to secure the partnership. The next day, the same contact requested a second payment. That raised concerns inside the project. The team declined to send more funds, after which the contact allegedly blocked them and deleted the entire chat history.
BingX response is now part of the dispute
The team says it reported the case to BingX support immediately. In SyntaxVerse's account, the exchange acknowledged that the scammer had taken over the username of a real agent and that the username had not been removed from BingX's portal. Because of that, the project's public statement claims the exchange's own verification process treated the fraudulent contact as legitimate.
SyntaxVerse also alleges that BingX tried to shift responsibility back to the project instead of accepting fault for the verification failure. The team says the exchange stopped responding as of May 19, 2026. It has since shared chat logs and verification records with its community and says it believes internal negligence is being concealed.
BingX listing plan is paused and no refund has been issued
At this stage, the listing plan tied to BingX is fully paused, based on the project's statement. SyntaxVerse says no refund has been provided and no new response has come from the exchange. The team also says it intends to keep pursuing the matter.
The information released so far points to a halt in this specific BingX listing effort, not a complete stop in project development. SyntaxVerse says development is still moving, though it has not publicly named any confirmed exchange for launch.
Presale remains live as the end date nears
Despite the listing setback, the presale is still shown as active on the project's official website. SyntaxVerse says the sale is approaching its end around June 5 or 6, 2026. The figures displayed on the site include a token price of $0.085, funds raised of 23,387, 1.2 million SYNTAX sold, a total supply of 200 million, and a price increase every 24 hours.
Social channels linked to the project describe the sale as being in its final phase. As for the token launch, no exchange has been officially confirmed. The source article suggested that a listing around June 6-7, 2026 looked possible based on the presale timeline, but that timing has not been confirmed by the project. SyntaxVerse has only indicated that exchange discussions are still ongoing.
Daily quiz campaign continues before token launch
Syntax Verse Daily Quiz remains available to community members ahead of any token listing. The project says users can earn points through the activity until the presale ends.
The case also raises questions about exchange-side verification controls. In SyntaxVerse's telling, even a two-step verification process can fail if the underlying source data has already been compromised.
