Taiwan Bitcoin Hub said it will host a Bitcoin Pizza Day community party at Tempo House in Taipei on May 22 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The event will combine Lightning Talks, a Bitcoin knowledge challenge, and a networking party for local and international Bitcoiners.
Bitcoin Pizza Day traces back to one of the best-known early transactions in crypto history. Laszlo Hanyecz used 10,000 BTC to buy two Papa John’s pizzas, a purchase widely remembered as the first real-world commercial Bitcoin transaction. That is why May 22 is celebrated each year by the global Bitcoin community.
Talks, quiz challenge, and BTC scratch cards
The organizer listed the venue as No. 12, Section 2, Jianguo North Road, Zhongshan District, Taipei. Confirmed Lightning Talks speakers include Dr. AwesomeDoge and Dan, with additional mystery guests teased in the event details. One of the main attractions is the “Bitcoin Knowledge Challenge,” where successful participants can receive custom Bitcoin scratch cards containing real BTC. The top prize is worth NT$3,000 in BTC.
The gathering is framed as an in-person celebration of Bitcoin culture. Pizza and beer will be available on site, and the event is designed to give attendees time to meet, talk, and connect with other Bitcoiners.

VIP tickets are priced at NT$500 and are available in limited quantity. The package includes all standard admission benefits, plus a Taiwan Bitcoin Hub limited EasyCard and one extra custom scratch card.
