Bittensor’s native token TAO is still pushing higher. CryptoQuant’s reading of the 90-day Spot Taker Cumulative Volume Delta shows a clear change in recent weeks: a market once dominated by sell pressure has shifted toward steady buy-side control. Since a local low of $154, green bars on the metric have become more frequent, pointing to active buyers absorbing available supply.
Price action has moved in the same direction. TAO traded around $330 this week, up more than 20% over the last seven days, while its market capitalization recovered to roughly $3.17 billion. After months of volatility, interest from traders and investors has picked up again.
Spot demand strengthens after a sell-pressure phase
CryptoQuant’s data suggests the immediate driver is stronger spot demand. Earlier conditions were marked by persistent selling, but the recent turn in the indicator signals that buyers are now taking the other side more consistently. That shift lines up with TAO’s latest price recovery.
Bittensor is a decentralized machine learning network where participants contribute computational resources, train AI models, and earn TAO rewards. Its open architecture allows a broad range of contributors and supports AI research and application development across the network.
Subnet tokens expand as staking share moves above 33%
The broader Bittensor ecosystem has also been gaining ground. According to CoinGecko, the combined market capitalization of subnet-related tokens recently reached $1.4 billion, and nearly every project in the network posted double-digit gains over the past month. That strength in subnet assets has added support to TAO’s recovery.
Staking data tells a similar story. The share of TAO staked in subnets, measured against total TAO staked across the network, has risen to above 33%. The increase is being read as a sign of growing confidence in Bittensor’s subnet economy, where users are rewarded for taking part in specialized AI tasks and services.
Staking remains central to how Bittensor works. Participants can allocate TAO to different subnets, with each subnet tied to a specific AI-related function. The model is designed to reward collaboration and encourage the buildout of decentralized machine learning services.
Rising activity brings a higher chance of volatility
The rally has not gone unnoticed by analysts watching market risk. CryptoQuant analyst Maartunn said spot volumes, futures activity, and retail participation are all heating up at the same time. When those factors accelerate together, market risk tends to increase as well.
Maartunn put it plainly: “When everything heats up at once… risk increases.” That does not point to an inevitable reversal, but it does suggest TAO’s current advance is moving into a zone where near-term volatility could become more pronounced.
