Tether said it has formed a strategic alliance with AI company First Data and fintech firm BKN301, starting with institutional real estate in Saudi Arabia before expanding into other asset classes. The partnership will use Tether’s Hadron platform for tokenization, while First Data will lead local operations and primary-market activity. BKN301 will provide infrastructure support, connecting banking systems, payment interfaces and compliance processes. Tether added that the initiative is part of its broader push into real-world asset tokenization, following the launch of Hadron in 2024 and the issuance of $2.6 billion worth of tokenized gold (XAUT). The company also cited Citi research that projects the global tokenized securities market could reach $5.5 trillion by 2030. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said Saudi Arabia’s policy environment makes it a suitable place for RWA use cases, with the first phase focused on improving liquidity and lowering entry barriers in real estate.

Tether said it has formed a strategic alliance with AI company First Data and fintech firm BKN301, with the first phase centered on institutional real estate in Saudi Arabia and later expansion into other asset classes. Under the agreement, Tether’s Hadron platform will provide full-lifecycle issuance and management for tokenized assets. First Advanced Data for Artificial Intelligence LLC, or First Data, will act as the local lead, issuer and primary-market operator in Saudi Arabia, while BKN301 will support the setup by integrating infrastructure with local banking systems, payment interfaces and compliance workflows. BKN301 Group CEO Stiven Muccioli said the company’s role is to make sure Hadron tokens can connect smoothly with infrastructure deployed by institutions. First Data Chairman Nabil Al-Nuaim said Saudi Arabia is one of the world’s most attractive markets, and that combining First Data’s local expertise and network with Hadron by Tether’s tokenization infrastructure could create new opportunities for asset owners, investors and institutions. Tether launched Hadron in 2024. The platform includes modular tools for asset issuance, burning, KYC verification and capital-market management. Before this deal, Tether had already issued $2.6 billion of tokenized gold through XAUT, and the new alliance shows the company is extending beyond stablecoins into real-world asset tokenization. Mainstream financial institutions and asset managers are also moving faster into RWA, using tokenization for equities, money market funds, private credit and real estate. Citi has said the global tokenized securities market could reach $5.5 trillion by 2030. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said Saudi Arabia’s forward-looking policy environment makes it an ideal place for RWA. The first phase will focus on institutional real estate assets, with the goal of addressing illiquidity and high entry barriers. The plan will later expand to energy, infrastructure and other traditional physical assets, backed by a framework that combines blockchain infrastructure, digital assets and regulated financial services.
