According to TechFlow, on June 10, Tether announced that it is leading the Series C financing round for humanoid robotics company NEURA Robotics. The round can reach up to $1.4 billion, making it one of the largest private financings in the robotics and “physical AI” sector. The announcement places Tether’s participation at the intersection of robotics, machine payments and AI infrastructure designed to operate close to the physical world.
NEURA Robotics’ cognitive robot product lineup
NEURA Robotics is described as a multi-form cognitive robotics company. Its products span humanoid robots, robotic arms, autonomous mobile robots and service robots. The company has already built an enterprise customer pipeline and a global network of industrial partners. Some of those strategic partners also joined the round as co-investors, linking the financing to NEURA Robotics’ existing industrial cooperation network.
The stated size of the Series C round, up to $1.4 billion, puts the financing among the largest private deals in robotics and physical AI. Tether said its role will go beyond capital support. The company plans to bring core technologies into the NEURA ecosystem, connecting the funding round with tools for robot operations, payments and automated economic actions.
WDK and QVAC to be deployed in the NEURA ecosystem
Tether said it will deploy two core technologies into the NEURA ecosystem: its open-source Wallet Development Kit, or WDK, and its edge AI runtime, QVAC. Under Tether’s description, WDK will embed self-custodial wallet functions into robots. This would allow machines to receive micropayments directly after completing tasks, execute transactions and automate economic behavior under pre-set rules.
Through this approach, Tether is positioning its technology as part of a “machine payment layer.” NEURA Robotics’ product lineup covers several forms of robots, while the planned deployment of WDK and QVAC relates to basic capabilities such as task-linked payment collection, transaction execution and edge AI runtime support. The Series C round therefore connects robotics hardware, physical AI infrastructure and the payment execution layer within machine economy use cases.
