A recent disclosure under the 2012 STOCK Act has revealed the cryptocurrency holdings of US Congress members, with Bitcoin (BTC) emerging as the most widely held digital asset. Notable holders include Senators Cynthia Lummis and Ted Cruz, as well as Representatives Byron Donalds and Guy Reschenthaler, with individual holdings reaching up to $250,000.

Bitcoin and Ethereum Dominate the List

Following Bitcoin, Ethereum (ETH) is the second most held cryptocurrency, reported by Representatives Mike Collins and Barry Moore. Collins disclosed ETH holdings worth up to $60,000. The data underscores the strong preference among lawmakers for established, large-cap cryptocurrencies.

Solana, XRP and Cardano Round Out Top Five

Other cryptocurrencies in the top five include Solana (SOL) and XRP, both reported by Representative Guy Reschenthaler, each valued at up to $15,000. Cardano (ADA) was disclosed by Representatives Barry Moore and Mike Collins, with Moore holding up to $45,000 in ADA. These positions indicate diversified exposure beyond just Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Niche Coins Also Appear

Some lawmakers have also invested in lesser-known coins such as Ski Mask Dog (SKI) and LGB Coin. SKI saw a 2.86% decline in the past 24 hours, reflecting the volatile nature of micro-cap tokens. The disclosures, mandated by the STOCK Act, aim to enhance transparency in financial holdings of public officials, and continue to draw attention to the intersection of politics and digital assets.
