Official Trump rose after the project announced a second Mar-a-Lago luncheon for its top 297 holders, with the top 29 also qualifying for a private reception with Donald Trump.

Official Trump, the meme coin tied to Donald Trump, moved higher on Friday after the team said it would hold a second exclusive event for leading holders. Under the plan, eligible participants can attend a luncheon at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, where Trump is listed as the keynote speaker. After the announcement, TRUMP climbed more than 11% and was still up over 8% on a 24-hour basis at the latest check.

Top 297 holders can qualify for the event

The project said the luncheon will be open to the top 297 Official Trump holders. Qualification is based on time-weighted holdings measured between March 12 and April 10, not a single wallet snapshot. Attendees must also pass a background check. Within that group, the top 29 holders will gain access to a private reception with Trump.

The token’s official website says Trump will attend the gathering. Politico, citing a White House official, reported that the luncheon is scheduled alongside the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Price spike comes against a weak longer-term trend

The meme coin has stayed in a downtrend since its launch in early 2025. The team has tried to revive interest with new ecosystem plans, but those efforts have had limited impact. Last month, it outlined yield and liquidity programs through Kamino vaults, added new market makers, and described a fund intended to support ecosystem projects.

Even with those measures, TRUMP remains more than 95% below its all-time high. The latest rally followed a clear event catalyst, while the broader price picture remains far weaker than the token’s early trading period.

Earlier holder event drew scrutiny

This is the second exclusive gathering organized by the project. At a similar event held in May, Tron founder Justin Sun was identified as the top TRUMP holder among attendees.

That earlier event also triggered criticism. Opponents accused Trump of using his position as president for personal financial gain. Representative Jamie Raskin, the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, opened a probe into how the guest list was assembled and whether foreign money may have entered purchases of the meme coin.
