TRON DAO announced that TRX, the native token of the TRON blockchain, is now listed for spot trading on Bitnomial, a U.S. exchange and clearinghouse regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Bitnomial, headquartered in Chicago, operates regulated exchange, clearinghouse, and brokerage subsidiaries under the CFTC framework. The listing provides American investors and institutions with another compliant venue for accessing TRX.

CFTC-Regulated Market Entry

Per the announcement, the Bitnomial listing expands TRX access through a CFTC-regulated marketplace. TRX powers transactions, decentralized applications, smart contract execution, and governance on the TRON blockchain. Justin Sun, founder of TRON, stated that the listing broadens network access via regulated U.S. market infrastructure, adding that demand for compliant digital asset products continues to grow.

Network Metrics and Ecosystem Scale

Alongside the listing, TRON disclosed key network figures. The blockchain currently hosts over $89 billion in circulating USDT and maintains over $27 billion in total value locked across its DeFi ecosystem, underscoring its role in stablecoin transfers and decentralized finance.

Recent Compliance Milestones

The Bitnomial listing follows other infrastructure expansions. TRX previously became available for custody through Anchorage Digital, the first federally chartered crypto bank in the U.S. Separately, TRON DAO launched TRXUSD Expiry Perpetuals via OKX Europe Markets Ltd, covering 30 EEA countries under MiFID regulations for both retail and institutional traders. These developments collectively increase the number of regulated platforms offering TRX access.
