Taiwan Mobile Virtual Asset Exchange (TWEX) celebrates its first anniversary, releasing user data that challenges stereotypes. 50% of users are over 40 years old, and nearly 70% of trades are single transactions under NTD 999 (approx. $30). Virtual assets are no longer just for the young — they have become a mainstream allocation tool.
Buy-and-Hold Dominates, Dollar-Cost Averaging Gains Traction
Han Kun-chu, Vice President of Taiwan Mobile's Web3 Business and General Manager of Fusheng Digital, said TWEX's focus on security, trust, and simplicity has opened the door to the Web3 mass market. Company data shows over half of users have never sold their Bitcoin (BTC) or Ethereum (ETH) after purchase, while nearly 10% have adopted recurring buys. Long-term holding and periodic investing are now the norm.
To mark the anniversary and Bitcoin Pizza Day, TWEX launched a new dollar-cost averaging (DCA) feature with a minimum of NTD 100 per order, applicable to all coins. All DCA trades enjoy zero transaction fees until August 31.
Four Anniversay Promotions: Fee Waivers, BTC Rewards, Pizza Deals
Beyond fee waivers, users who complete at least one DCA trade by June 30 receive a 60-day free license for Taiwan Mobile's anti-fraud tool. Those who maintain a DCA plan for six consecutive months get an additional NTD 50 worth of Bitcoin (limited to 500 users, one per person).
TWEX has also partnered with Pizza Hut for limited-edition "Bitcoin Pizza Day" combo meals. Users can redeem special offers via promo codes on Pizza Hut's official website.
