US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded about $232 million in net inflows on Wednesday, marking their eighth consecutive trading day of net buying, according to SoSoValue data cited by ChainCatcher. The current streak has now brought in about $2.8 billion in total. Spot Ethereum ETFs posted the same eight-day run of inflows, adding about $192 million on Wednesday and pushing their cumulative intake past $1 billion. Other crypto investment products also saw gains. XRP funds attracted $28 million, HYPE products brought in $15 million, and Solana funds added $9 million. August inflows into Bitcoin ETFs have now exceeded $3 billion, making it the strongest month of 2026 so far and roughly double April’s level. As of Tuesday, Bitcoin ETF net assets stood slightly above $99 billion, up $22 billion from about $77 billion in mid-August, though the report said most of that increase came from Bitcoin’s price gains rather than fresh capital. BlackRock’s IBIT captured most of the recent inflows, taking about 62% of Monday’s total and around $1.3 billion last week. Even so, Bitcoin ETFs remain down about $2.5 billion on a net basis for 2026. With three trading days left in August, another roughly $160 million in inflows would lift the month above October 2025.

Spot Ethereum ETFs also posted an eighth consecutive day of net inflows. They added about $192 million on Wednesday, taking cumulative inflows past $1 billion.

Flows into XRP, HYPE and Solana products

Outside Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, XRP funds recorded $28 million in inflows, HYPE products added $15 million, and Solana funds saw $9 million in inflows.

August has topped $3 billion for Bitcoin ETFs

August inflows into Bitcoin ETFs have now exceeded $3 billion, making it the strongest month of 2026 so far and roughly twice April’s total. As of Tuesday, net assets in Bitcoin ETFs stood slightly above $99 billion, up $22 billion from about $77 billion in mid-August. The report said most of that increase came from price appreciation rather than new capital.

BlackRock’s IBIT took most of the recent flows

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) absorbed the bulk of the money, accounting for about 62% of Monday’s total. It brought in around $1.3 billion last week.

Year-to-date flows remain negative

Even so, Bitcoin ETFs are still showing net outflows of about $2.5 billion for 2026 so far. August has already recovered more than half of the outflows seen from May through July. With three trading days left in the month, another roughly $160 million in inflows would push August above October 2025 and make it the biggest monthly inflow period since demand for these products peaked.
