U.S. equities opened in positive territory, with all three major indexes posting gains at the start of trading. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.35%, the S&P 500 added 0.48%, and the Nasdaq climbed 0.86%. Crypto-related stocks, however, did not move in the same direction.
Coinbase Global (COIN) fell sharply by more than 9%, making it one of the weakest names in the group. Strategy (MSTR) dropped more than 4%, while Circle (CRCL) and Bitmine (BMNR) each lost more than 3%. On the other side, mining names showed strength. Cipher Mining (CIFR) and Hut 8 (HUT) both gained more than 6%, while Riot Platforms (RIOT), CleanSpark (CLSK), and Bit Brother (BTBT) rose more than 1%. MARA Holdings (MARA) edged lower by 0.21%.
