According to an official update cited by ChainCatcher, USDC had $73.7 billion in circulation as of Aug. 27, 2026, while total reserves stood at $74 billion, maintaining a 1:1 redemption mechanism with the U.S. dollar. Over the past seven days, USDC issuance reached $11.2 billion and redemptions totaled $10.2 billion, resulting in a net increase of $1 billion in circulation. Over the past 30 days, issuance came to $33.4 billion and redemptions reached $31.9 billion, for a net increase of $1.5 billion. Circle said USDC reserves are backed by highly liquid cash and cash equivalents, mainly including bank deposits, overnight U.S. Treasury repurchase agreements, and U.S. Treasuries with maturities of three months or less. The company added that these reserves are held separately from its corporate operating funds.
