VVV surges over 20% to $6.78, becoming the top-performing altcoin among top 300. A whale who bought $330K two months ago now holds $310K in profit without selling. Supply cuts of 25% and 17% locked supply underpin the rally.

While major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum slide, Venice Token (VVV) has staged a standout rally. The token surged more than 20% on July 23, hitting a high of $6.78 — its best price in over a year. This move makes VVV the top-performing altcoin among the top 300 digital assets by market cap.

Data from Arkham Intelligence reveals a Coinbase user who purchased $330,000 worth of VVV about two months ago at an average price of $3. With the latest rally, the position has ballooned to over $310,000 in unrealized profit. The trader has not sold a single token, signaling strong conviction that further upside remains.

Supply Reduction and DeFi Integration Drive Rally

On February 10, the Venice platform cut annual token emissions by 25%, from 8 million to 6 million tokens per year. This supply-side tightening reduces new tokens entering circulation, a classic price support mechanism. Additionally, VVV is now being used on DeFi protocols like Aerodrome and Morpho for trading and lending.

A newly launched token called DIEM requires users to lock up native assets, further decreasing the circulating supply. Currently, about 17% of the total VVV supply is locked as collateral. This removes tokens from the market and limits potential sell pressure.

Social Dominance Surges 424% Amid AI Demand

Social engagement around VVV has exploded. Social dominance — a measure of share of voice in crypto social media — jumped 424% last week alone. Platform user registrations have exceeded 2 million, with social interaction volume 255% higher than the daily average.

Venice AI, founded by Erik Voorhees, offers uncensored image and text generation tools. As demand for such services grows, more users need VVV to access the platform. This creates a feedback loop: more users → higher token demand → price appreciation.

Although VVV remains below its all-time high, the combination of supply cuts, DeFi expansion, and surging social interest provides a strong foundation. If the broader crypto market continues to weaken, VVV may trade sideways, but its fundamentals have clearly improved.
