Ventuals, a Hyperliquid ecosystem project that had previously announced it would shut down, said in a post on X that its commodity and index markets have now been frozen. According to the announcement, the mark price and oracle price for each market have been set to the closing price of today’s regular trading session, based on data from external exchanges. Funding rates have also been set to 0.
Open positions to be settled at final mark prices
Ventuals said all markets will remain paused for the rest of today. For users who currently hold open positions, no manual action is required. The system will automatically settle the profit and loss of all positions according to the final mark prices.
The project’s statement covers the frozen commodity and index markets, the pricing basis used for settlement, and the funding-rate adjustment. The final mark prices and oracle prices were determined with reference to external exchange data and set to the close of today’s regular trading hours, while funding rates were reduced to 0 for the paused markets.
vHYPE withdrawals to start in batches
Ventuals also advised all vHYPE holders to initiate withdrawals as soon as possible if they have not already done so. The project said 100% of vHYPE holders can expect to redeem HYPE at a 1:1 ratio and receive all native staking rewards accumulated since their deposits. The announcement specifies both the redemption ratio and the treatment of staking rewards for vHYPE holders.
All withdrawal requests that have been initiated will begin batch processing at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time on June 19. After that, batch processing will continue once every 24 to 72 hours. Once a withdrawal request has been processed, it will become claimable after 7.5 days. This period includes Hyperliquid’s native 7-day standard unstaking period and an additional 12-hour cooling-off period.
Ventuals had previously announced that it would close its operations and merge into another team within the Hyperliquid ecosystem. Specific details of that team and the merger arrangement have not been disclosed.
