Odaily reported that Ventuals, a Hyperliquid ecosystem project that had previously announced plans to shut down, posted on X that its commodity and index markets have now been frozen. According to the project, the mark price and oracle price for each market have been set to the closing price of today’s regular trading session, using data from external exchanges. Funding rates have also been set to 0.
Commodity and index markets will settle at final mark prices
Ventuals said all markets will remain paused for the rest of the day. The profit and loss, or PNL, of all positions will be settled automatically based on the final mark price. Users who currently hold open positions do not need to take any action, as the system will complete the settlement process automatically.
The arrangement applies to the commodity and index markets that Ventuals has frozen. After the mark price and oracle price were set with reference to external exchange data and fixed at the closing price of today’s regular trading session, remaining position PNL will be processed on that basis. With funding rates set to 0, the original funding-rate mechanism will not continue to accrue charges during the trading pause and settlement period.
vHYPE withdrawals start batch processing on June 19
Ventuals also advised all vHYPE holders to initiate withdrawals as soon as possible if they have not already done so. The project stated that 100% of vHYPE holders can expect to redeem HYPE at a 1:1 ratio and receive all native staking rewards accumulated since their deposits.
For the withdrawal schedule, Ventuals said all initiated withdrawals will begin batch processing at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time on June 19. After that, batch processing will continue once every 24 to 72 hours. Once a withdrawal request has been processed, it will become claimable after 7.5 days, consisting of Hyperliquid’s native 7-day standard unstaking period and an additional 12-hour cooldown period.
Earlier, Ventuals announced that it would shut down its operations and be merged into another team within the Hyperliquid ecosystem. Specific details about that receiving team have not been disclosed.
