WEEX has laid out a six-month product roadmap centered on three areas: faster trading execution, a more professional trading workspace, and AI infrastructure built for live trading use cases. In a recent YouTube livestream titled "WEEX 180-Day Product Evolution," Chinese-language regional growth director Caleb and trader guest Li reviewed the platform’s recent product changes and the thinking behind them. According to the company, the rollout covered H5 browser-based trading access, fund-status alerts, chart-based quick order entry, customizable multi-chart workspaces, TradeFi expansion into crypto and traditional asset categories, staking products for idle balances, and an AI TradingSkill framework intended to connect market data, account queries and order execution. The company also said its API suite supports REST API and WebSocket access, along with permission controls and IP whitelisting for developers building automated strategies. WEEX said it held an AI trading hackathon in the first half of this year, drawing 788 developers and generating 160,000 real API calls. It also said product decisions over the past six months were informed by user feedback gathered through 11 industry events worldwide, including Hong Kong Web3 Carnival, Consensus in Miami and Dutch Blockchain Week.

WEEX has detailed a 180-day product push focused on three tracks: trading experience, professional trading tools and AI infrastructure. In a recent official YouTube livestream, "WEEX 180-Day Product Evolution," Caleb, WEEX’s Chinese-language regional growth director, and professional trader guest Li reviewed the platform’s product changes over the past six months and discussed the logic behind those upgrades.

The company said the latest round of updates was not meant as a simple feature expansion. Instead, it framed the work as a redesign built around real trading scenarios, ranging from mobile access and cross-market asset exposure through TradeFi to the development of its AI TradingSkill system.

Faster access and shorter trading paths

WEEX said one of its main priorities over the past half year was the trading process itself. In volatile markets, it argued, execution is shaped not only by market judgment but also by the time it takes to move from spotting an opportunity to placing an order. Opening an app, waiting for pages to load, switching screens and confirming orders can all affect execution in fast markets.

To address mobile trading scenarios, the platform introduced an H5 lightweight trading entry point. Users do not need to download the app and can instead use a browser to check market quotes, manage accounts and trade futures. WEEX said the feature is designed for cases where users face storage limits on their phones, need to check the market temporarily or are restricted by the device environment.

The company also said it improved the way users track deposits. Rather than requiring repeated app refreshes while waiting for funds to arrive, WEEX added a Dynamic Island-style fund status reminder feature so users can see processing progress more directly and receive important updates proactively.

On execution, the updated chart quick-trade feature places buy and sell entry points directly on the candlestick page. Users can set trade size and position ratio while watching price action, without moving back and forth between screens. WEEX said this shortens the gap between market analysis and execution, particularly for short-term traders.

At the same time, the company said higher execution efficiency does not reduce the need for risk control. Position sizing, take-profit and stop-loss settings, and broader risk management remain essential in long-term trading, according to its description of the upgrade.

Professional workspace upgrades for more advanced users

WEEX said competition among trading platforms is no longer limited to basic execution and now depends more on whether a platform can provide a complete working environment for traders. It noted that professional users have often relied on separate charting software, market data products and trading terminals to complete analysis and execution.

Its revised trading workspace allows users to adjust layouts based on their own trading style, including order areas, chart placement and order book display. The goal, the company said, is to reduce the cost of switching between tools and better match different operating habits.

The platform also supports multi-chart viewing on one screen, allowing traders to track different instruments and time frames at the same time. In the example given, users can compare BTC, ETH, popular altcoins and other market assets in parallel while analyzing trend direction.

Li, described in the livestream as a professional trader with five years of crypto trading experience, said the upgraded interface offers clearer information display and smoother operation. He added that common technical tools such as trend lines and Fibonacci analysis are more complete, while the multi-view mode is more convenient for professional market observation.

WEEX said the value of professional tools is not to add complexity, but to provide more efficient information processing when needed.

TradeFi expansion pushes beyond crypto-only trading

On asset coverage, WEEX identified TradeFi as a key direction. The company said crypto users who want exposure to stocks or commodities have traditionally needed to register on different platforms. As digital asset markets and traditional financial markets move closer together, it said, more users are paying attention to cross-market trading access.

Under its TradeFi model, users can use USDT in a WEEX account to trade a wider set of assets. According to the company, the current lineup covers cryptocurrencies, U.S. stocks and indexes, gold, silver and crude oil. It specifically mentioned Tesla, Apple, SpaceX-related assets and QQQ among the tradable names.

WEEX said the setup lowers the cost of switching across platforms and gives users more flexibility in asset allocation. It also said TradeFi supports 7x24 trading, allowing users in different regions to access markets based on their own schedules rather than being fully constrained by traditional market hours.

Beyond execution, the company said its official channels continue to publish U.S. stock market updates, earnings previews and market review content so users can get more information support outside the trading interface.

Staking targets idle balances between trades

WEEX also addressed fund usage outside active positions. It said users are not always fully invested, and that making idle account balances productive during waiting periods is another practical need.

To meet that demand, the company rolled out WEEX Staking, offering flexible wealth-management products across multiple assets. Users can choose different asset plans based on their own preferences. An automatic coin-conversion feature is also included to reduce manual steps and make it easier for eligible idle funds to enter those products.

According to the platform, these functions are meant to improve capital efficiency for users who hold assets over longer periods.

AI TradingSkill aims at real trading workflows

In AI, WEEX said AI TradingSkill marks its attempt to explore how trading could work in the next phase. The company drew a distinction between improving how people trade today and building tools that may shape how trading happens in the future.

It said many AI tools on the market can already analyze prices and organize information, but still fall short of participating in actual trading because they cannot access account status, understand position data directly or execute live orders.

WEEX said TradingSkill is intended to close that gap by integrating market reading, account queries and trade execution. Users can issue instructions to AI in natural language, allowing the system to take part in a broader trading workflow.

The example given in the article was: "When BTC falls below a certain price, automatically reduce the position by 50%." WEEX said this kind of condition lets AI assist with execution under preset rules.

The company also outlined different use cases for different groups. For beginners, AI can help with trade reviews and flag position risk or the absence of take-profit and stop-loss settings. For content creators and market analysts, it can organize market data and generate trading reports. For professional traders, it can be used to manage multiple strategies and support a more automated process.

WEEX added that it held an AI trading hackathon in the first half of this year, attracting 788 developers and generating 160,000 real API calls. It said those figures show AI trading moving from concept testing toward practical use.

Open APIs for developers and quantitative traders

Alongside user-facing AI products, WEEX said it has continued to build out its developer ecosystem. Through open APIs, traders and development teams can connect to the exchange more flexibly and build automated strategies.

The company said its API offering currently includes REST API and WebSocket real-time data interfaces, with support for live candlestick data, market depth and trade data. It also provides API permission management, customizable key permissions and IP whitelisting to help users build quantitative trading tools more securely.

For individual quant traders, smaller strategy teams and developers, WEEX said open APIs create more room for independent product and strategy design.

User feedback from global events feeds product iteration

WEEX said product upgrades are not a one-off release cycle, but part of a continuing process shaped by market changes. Over the past six months, the company said it engaged with users across 11 industry events worldwide, including Hong Kong Web3 Carnival, Consensus in Miami and Dutch Blockchain Week.

Feedback from those markets has become an important input for product optimization, according to the company. From mobile trading improvements to TradeFi asset expansion and the buildout of API and AI capabilities, WEEX said it is continuing to refine its product system around concrete user needs.

The company said its next steps will include more work on trading experience, advanced tools, TradeFi ecosystem expansion and AI TradingSkill capabilities. In its view, competition among the next generation of trading platforms will not be limited to offering market access, but will also involve helping users understand markets more efficiently, manage assets and improve execution through technology.

WEEX ended the update by saying that 180 days is only one stage, and that its product evolution is still underway.

About WEEX

WEEX said it was founded in 2018 as a crypto asset trading platform serving global users. The platform supports spot and futures trading and includes multiple risk-control systems and a full insurance fund mechanism designed to protect user assets.

The company also said it has reached an official regional brand partnership with LALIGA for Hong Kong and Taiwan, and is continuing compliance and localization efforts across the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia. As its Web3 strategy expands, WEEX said it will continue working with global developers and user communities to push digital asset trading toward greater openness and transparency.
