On-chain analytics platform Lookonchain has identified a crypto whale acquiring 401 BTC at an average price of $66,957, equivalent to about $26.86 million. The transaction was reported by ChainCatcher on June 3, 2026.
Earlier this year, the same whale made a notable trade: on January 16, it bought 81 BTC at $95,423 (worth $7.73 million), then sold those coins on February 23 at $64,243, resulting in a realized loss of approximately $2.5 million.
The latest purchase at $66,957 marks the whale re-entering the Bitcoin market. Such large-scale movements are routinely tracked by Lookonchain, providing transparency to the crypto market. While the exact motivation behind this buy is not disclosed, the whale’s activity serves as a data point for traders monitoring institutional-level flows.
