ChainCatcher reported, citing monitoring by Onchain Lens, that a whale deposited 43,235 ETH into Binance. Based on the cited monitoring data, the transfer was valued at $74.68 million. The movement shows a large amount of ETH being sent from a whale address to Binance, a centralized crypto trading platform.
The address still holds staked ETH
The same Onchain Lens update said the whale also holds 43,562 staked ETH, valued at $75.41 million. In other words, beyond the 43,235 ETH deposited into Binance, the address still has a similarly sized ETH position in staking.
The original report did not disclose the whale’s identity, the transaction hash, or any later fund movements. A monitored exchange deposit only records that assets were transferred to an exchange address; it does not, by itself, confirm that a sale has taken place.
