BlockBeats reported on July 22 that Alphabet, Google’s parent company, is set to hold its conference call for the second quarter of 2026 at 4:30 a.m. Beijing time on July 23. The earnings report will be released before the call.

Only newly detected $1 million-plus GOOGL position before earnings

According to monitoring data from Hyperinsight, an on-chain whale bought 2,978.2 GOOGL shares in concentrated pre-market trades ahead of the earnings release. The position was worth about $1.041 million at entry, with an average cost of $349.5 per share.

Hyperinsight said this was the only newly detected GOOGL position above $1 million.

At the time of publication, GOOGL was down 1.5% on the day at $349.6. That left the whale’s entry almost exactly in line with the intraday pullback low.

10x leverage, about $186 in unrealized profit

The whale is currently holding the long with 10x leverage. Unrealized profit stood at about $186, leaving the trade roughly flat for now.

The liquidation price was listed at $82, which implies about 76.5% downside room from the current price. Aside from this GOOGL trade, the address had no other open positions.

Address has favored left-side trading and short-term swings

Hyperinsight’s data shows the address tends to favor left-side trading. It has taken multiple positions in MU and also traded semiconductor-related names including SKHX and SNDK.

The account has leaned toward short-term swing trades at the million-dollar scale, with an average holding time of about 15 hours over the past week. Its losses have mainly come from entering too early in failed attempts to catch trend reversals.

BlockBeats also referenced related reads, including one article saying Google would be the first of the "Magnificent Seven" to report that night and that a whale who moved early into a long had fallen into a nearly 40% loss, and another discussing market fear around claims that an AI bubble was bursting and that Google could become the first mega-cap company to cut AI spending.

The report added that HyperInsight Bot is now live. Users can add @HyperInsightBot to a TG group and set it as an administrator with message-sending permission enabled to automatically sync on-chain updates.
