As of publication, the address holds six semiconductor-related short positions with a combined notional value of about $31.029 million, generating roughly $838,000 in unrealized profit. The biggest swing came from its short positions in Samsung Electronics (SMSN) and SK Hynix (SKHX). At the time of the previous update, those two positions, worth around $14.84 million in total, were showing an unrealized loss of about $638,000. After Korean semiconductor shares declined today, the same positions flipped to a combined unrealized profit of about $378,000, implying a mark-to-market rebound of roughly $1.01 million. The address is also continuing to add to its Samsung short. In the past 30 minutes alone, it opened 1,612 Samsung short orders totaling 6,449.773 units, valued at around $1.2836 million. Korean semiconductor shorts swing back into profit

As of publication, the address held six semiconductor-related short positions with a combined notional size of approximately $31.029 million, producing about $838,000 in unrealized profit. The latest PnL change was mainly driven by two Korean equity shorts: Samsung Electronics (SMSN) and SK Hynix (SKHX).

At the time of yesterday’s update, those two Korean chip-stock shorts had a combined size of around $14.84 million and were showing an unrealized loss of roughly $638,000. After South Korean semiconductor shares fell today, the same two positions turned into a combined unrealized profit of about $378,000. That implies a mark-to-market recovery of nearly $1.01 million in one day. Monitoring data further shows that the address is still increasing its short exposure to Samsung.

The whale added to Samsung shorts in the past 30 minutes

Data shows that over the past 30 minutes, the address opened 1,612 Samsung short orders totaling 6,449.773 units, worth about $1.2836 million. Among the major positions, the SK Hynix short is using 4x isolated margin, with a notional size of about $10.168 million, an average entry price of $1,461.062, and a liquidation price of $1,724.93. The position is currently showing an unrealized profit of around $173,000, or approximately +6.7%.

The Samsung Electronics short is also on 4x isolated margin, with a size of about $4.937 million, an average entry price of $200.906, and a liquidation price of $233.54. That position is currently posting an unrealized profit of about $206,000, equivalent to roughly +16.0%. In addition, the address increased short exposure in NBIS by about $974,000 and in the DRAM index by about $625,000 over the same period. BlockBeats had previously reported that this major address had built a combined short position of around $14.8 million in Samsung and SK Hynix.
