White-label stablecoins have become a buzzword in the crypto market, but they are far from a one-size-fits-all product. A recent market analysis article points out that white-label stablecoins come in at least four distinct models, launched by institutions such as Circle and Coinbase, each addressing different application scenarios and client needs.
Specifically, Circle xReserve is a chain-level USDC-backed stablecoin that allows blockchain networks to access USDC without building their own liquidity pools. Circle Partner Stablecoins help regional stablecoins connect to the global dollar payment network, enabling cross-border circulation. Circle Digital Asset Accounts offer branded digital asset accounts for enterprises, allowing them to issue their own stablecoins under a compliant framework. Meanwhile, Coinbase Custom Stablecoins are tailored for corporate clients, enabling fully customized stablecoins that align with their brand identity.
The common thread across these four models is the reduction of issuance barriers by leveraging existing infrastructure. However, their positioning and technical architectures differ significantly. Institutions selecting a white-label solution must evaluate their business scenarios, regulatory requirements, and target markets comprehensively.
