World Liberty Financial, the crypto project tied to the Trump family, launched World Liberty Markets on January 12, 2026, using lending infrastructure from Dolomite. After the launch was reported, Dolomite’s native token DOLO surged more than 35% in a short move and briefly reached about $0.056.

The release expands WLFI beyond stablecoin issuance and into on-chain lending. That adds a core DeFi function to its product stack and shifts the project toward a broader platform model rather than a single stablecoin-focused business.

Ethereum wallet access and multi-asset borrowing

According to the published details, users can connect with an Ethereum wallet and take part in lending activity on World Liberty Markets. The platform lets users supply assets to earn yield and use supported tokens as collateral to borrow other assets for added liquidity.

Supported assets currently include WLFI’s stablecoin USD1, the WLFI governance token, ETH, cbBTC, and major stablecoins such as USDT and USDC. Borrowed funds can also be deployed into other DeFi strategies, creating a capital loop across protocols. That functionality helps explain why the launch is being treated as a key step inside the WLFI ecosystem.

Why Dolomite was chosen

Dolomite is already known as a DeFi lending protocol with efficient collateral usage and broad asset support. There is also a direct personnel link: Dolomite co-founder Corey Caplan serves as WLFI’s chief technology officer.

Dolomite had previously supported a USD1 lending pool and supplied most of USD1 liquidity on Ethereum, based on the source material. Market talk had earlier pointed to possible cooperation between WLFI and Aave, but the final choice was Dolomite. From the available information, the partnership reflects tighter alignment on both technology and ecosystem development.

Token market reaction

The market response was immediate. After news of the launch and integration, DOLO climbed more than 35% in a short period and touched about $0.056. Price action showed that traders quickly repriced the token following WLFI’s lending market rollout with Dolomite.
