World Liberty Financial (WLFI), the DeFi platform backed by the Trump family, has partnered with London-based Re7 Labs to deploy a vault for its USD1 stablecoin on Binance’s BNB Chain. Announced on June 27, the collaboration aims to scale the utility of USD1 within the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem, enhancing capital efficiency and transparency.
Technical Deployment and Partnership Details
The vault will be deployed across Euler and Lista protocols, both decentralized lending and trading platforms. Re7 Labs, the innovation arm of Re7 Capital, brings technical expertise to the initiative. Re7 Capital recently secured up to $10 million from Hong Kong’s VMS Group, marking the family office’s first major cryptocurrency investment. This partnership underscores a broader push to bring institutional-grade stablecoin infrastructure to DeFi.
Institutional Backing and Capital Inflows
WLFI’s growth trajectory is supported by significant capital injections from high-profile investors. DWF Labs invested $25 million, while Chinese crypto entrepreneur and Tron founder Justin Sun contributed $75 million and joined as an advisor. UAE-based Aqua 1 Foundation acquired $100 million worth of WLF tokens, becoming the largest individual investor. These commitments highlight strong confidence in WLFI’s vision.
A landmark real-world use case emerged in May 2025, when Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund entity MGX leveraged USD1 to execute a $2 billion investment in Binance. This transaction demonstrated the stablecoin’s practicality in large-scale institutional deals, setting a precedent for future adoption.
Market Metrics and Social Media Buzz
As of the announcement, USD1 has a market valuation of $2.205 billion with 2.157 billion tokens issued on Binance Smart Chain (BSC). The stablecoin is also issued on the Tron network. Social media reactions from industry accounts emphasized the strategic focus of the partnership, noting that it could unlock billions in DeFi liquidity by expanding USD1’s ecosystem on BNB Chain. The partnership aligns with growing institutional interest in cryptocurrency and aims to drive USD1 adoption through trusted infrastructure.
The vault launch represents a significant step for WLFI as it seeks to position USD1 as a major player in the stablecoin market, competing with established incumbents like USDT and USDC. With strong institutional backing and a clear use case, USD1 is poised to become the next big stablecoin in crypto.
