World Platform Goes Live: Full-Chain Prediction Market on Solana
According to a report by CoinDesk, the full-chain prediction market platform World has officially launched on the Solana mainnet. The platform allows users to trade prediction contracts linked to cryptocurrency prices, the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and other events directly from their Solana wallets. The World team stated that future expansions will cover sports events, geopolitical developments, and macroeconomic indicators.
World employs a non-custodial design, meaning user funds are moved only when actively participating in a market. All positions, settlements, and payouts are executed on-chain, ensuring transparency and decentralization. This design gives users full control over their assets, preventing the platform from accessing or misappropriating funds.
Technical Architecture: Phantom CASH and Chainlink Oracles
For settlements, World has selected CASH — a stablecoin issued by Phantom Wallet — as its core settlement asset. CASH is a USD-pegged stablecoin native to the Solana ecosystem, with growing liquidity depth and adoption. By using CASH, World eliminates friction from fiat on-ramps or complex cross-chain processes in prediction contracts.
Critically, World integrates Chainlink as its data and settlement oracle infrastructure. Chainlink's decentralized oracle network will supply reliable event outcomes (e.g., "2026 World Cup winner" or "BTC price above a threshold at a specific time") and facilitate automated settlement. This drastically reduces reliance on manual arbitration, boosting trust and efficiency. Additionally, Chainlink's tamper-proof features mitigate risks of oracle attacks.
Currently, World has opened several markets for trading. Users can participate via Phantom or other compatible wallets. With planned market expansions, World aims to become a core infrastructure for the prediction market sector on Solana.
