Malta-based production company Stream House Media Productions (SHRIMP.co) has officially announced the spring 2024 premiere of House of Streams, the world's first live interactive reality show that places Bitcoin at the center of its prize structure. The series brings together eight internationally recognized streaming content creators for an unscripted month-long stay in a luxurious villa on Malta, widely known as 'Blockchain Island.'

Unscripted Fly-on-the-Wall Format with Real-Time Audience Control

Unlike traditional reality TV, House of Streams operates on a 24/7 live-feed model, allowing a dedicated fanbase to watch and interact with contestants as events unfold. During the production phase, the show already generated over 136,807 unique chat interactions with minimal marketing. Hosts and contestants engage in both in-house dynamics and real-life (IRL) competitions across Malta, all while the audience influences decisions through a fully integrated online chat system.

Producer Mark Holland highlighted: “This is the first production in which a reality show is supported and scrutinized by an army of devout and loyal streamer fans who have direct real-time interaction with the contestants’ house group chat and invariably influence the direction of the show.”

Bitcoin Prizes: One BTC for the Winner, One BTC for the Fan Favorite

In a bold move that challenges conventional reality TV norms, House of Streams awards the grand prize winner one Bitcoin, and an additional one Bitcoin to the contestant voted as the fans’ favorite after the series airs. The timing is strategic—the show is set to launch around the anticipated Bitcoin halving event, and BTC has just broken above its all-time high, amplifying discussions about cryptocurrency's role in mainstream entertainment.

Star-Studded Cast and Seasoned Hosts

The diverse cast includes four male streamers: @japandyjones, @theblackhokage, @thegarashow, and @morgantremaine; and four female streamers: @cyborgangel, @outplayedbyjade, @taylormorgan__, and @mnufo. Leading the show as main anchor is Nicole Holliday, an established sports and entertainment presenter who has worked with Sky Sports, Arsenal FC, and the BBC. Co-presenter Matthew ‘Kofi’ Browne is a well-known Maltese personality recognized for his energy and gaming expertise.

Production and Distribution Details

House of Streams is produced by Stream House Media Productions, also known as SHRIMP.co Entertainment, an international production house with offices in London and Malta. With two decades of industry experience, the company specializes in unique off-the-wall content, including series, documentaries, and corporate films. The eight-part series, each episode 25 minutes long, will air twice a week over four weeks. Viewers can subscribe for updates on YouTube at @houseofstreams or visit the official website at houseofstreams.tv.

Mark Holland noted: “This is a crypto-themed series that coincides with the modern-day shift to AVOD streaming entertainment models and live audience engagement. It will create a fertile ground for innovation within the blockchain tech ecosystem, pushing the boundaries of the evolution of blockchain technology in entertainment.”

Release dates and specific distribution platforms will be announced soon. The production team previously attended the AIBC conference in Dubai, meeting industry leaders from KuCoin, Luna PR, OKX, and M2, further solidifying its connection to the crypto ecosystem.
