The official X account warned about a fraudulent page mimicking the real Xenea web faucet. These fake sites often trick users into signing malicious transactions. While the real faucet is a standard tool for developers and testers to claim free test tokens, the impersonation turns a routine product update into a security risk. The team stressed that the only safe URL is the one shared through official channels.
Web Faucet Improves Access, but TXENE Has No Monetary Value
Beyond the warning, the web faucet now allows users to claim tokens directly via browser, replacing the earlier Discord-dependent method. Each claim dispenses 10 TXENE with a 12-hour cooldown for DApp validation, wallet checks, and test transactions. The project explicitly states that TXENE is a test token with no market price or tradeable value. Users should not confuse testnet activity with a real token launch.
