XERA AI CEO and founder Jason Wong used a keynote at GWDC 2026 Korea to outline how the company built its AI trading product around a mix of market, news, candlestick, strategy and risk models rather than a single general-purpose model. Speaking on the second day of the event in Seoul, Wong said the team had spent 15 years trading stocks, cryptocurrencies and foreign exchange before turning that experience into an application. According to Wong, the product is designed for markets that now trade around the clock, where news flows, social media posts and price moves continue without pause. He said XERA AI’s edge is not access to large language models, which he described as widely available for a price, but the team’s own trading know-how and a strategy library that presentation materials showed had more than 1,000 strategies. Wong also said the system can process thousands of articles within seconds. He described a workflow in which new models are tested, benchmarked, backtested and then validated in small live trades through real broker and exchange accounts before being added to the app. The platform scores each asset, buys those rated above 80, places lower-scoring names on a watchlist, and then uses a risk-control module to manage positions and execute entries and exits. The app currently includes more than 100 strategies with backtest and live-trading data, he said.

Techub News reported that GWDC 2026 Korea was held on Sept. 29-30, 2026 at the aT Center in Seoul, South Korea. The event was hosted by Web3Labs and co-hosted by Techub News, HypaiLabs and TokenPost.

On the second day of the conference, XERA AI CEO and founder Jason Wong introduced the company’s AI trading product, XERA AI, during a keynote speech. Wong said the team had previously focused on trading stocks, cryptocurrencies and foreign exchange, building up 15 years of trading experience before combining that background with AI in the current product.

Round-the-clock markets are the core premise

Wong said markets are moving toward 24/7 trading. News, social media and price feeds do not stop, while human traders still need rest, which is why he argued AI is needed to monitor markets continuously.

He added that general-purpose large models are available to anyone willing to pay for them. In his account, XERA AI is differentiated by the team’s own trading experience and strategy library. Presentation materials showed that the platform has more than 1,000 strategies.

Five AI categories inside one system

Wong said XERA AI does not rely on a single model. Instead, it combines five categories of AI into one system: market AI, news AI, candlestick AI, strategy AI and risk AI.

  • News AI reads news reports and social media content.
  • Market AI and candlestick AI analyze price action.
  • Strategy AI matches trading strategies.
  • Risk AI handles risk control.

According to Wong, the system can process thousands of articles within seconds.

Model onboarding requires testing, backtesting and live validation

Wong said the team continuously evaluates new models available in the market. The process starts with testing, then benchmark comparisons and historical backtesting, followed by small-scale live validation in real broker and exchange accounts. Only after passing those steps is a model integrated into the application.

At the execution level, the system assigns a score to each asset. Assets scoring above 80 are bought, while those below 80 are placed on a watchlist. A risk-control module then manages position sizing and carries out trade entry and exit decisions.

Coverage spans crypto, gold-related assets, U.S. large-cap stocks, ETFs and FX pairs

Wong said the tradable universe includes major cryptocurrencies, gold-related assets, U.S. large-cap stocks, major exchange-traded funds and major foreign-exchange currency pairs. The goal, he said, is to spread user funds across different categories of products.

He also said the app already includes more than 100 strategies with both backtest data and live-trading data. Users can choose strategies themselves or let the AI recommend them, and they can also set conservative or aggressive styles as well as the allocation between spot and futures trading.
