New XRP distribution data shared on X (formerly Twitter) has renewed focus on the token's rapidly narrowing ownership base. According to data from Cryptobilbuwoo0, only about 330,000 accounts now hold more than 10,000 XRP — a tiny fraction of total network participants. The imbalance at the top is stark: just six wallets collectively hold over 8.84 billion XRP, representing a massive share of the total supply.

Top Tier: Six Wallets Control 8.84B XRP

Breaking down by balance range, only six accounts hold more than 1 billion XRP, each accounting for far less than 0.01% of all addresses. Their combined balance stands at 8,847,959,450 XRP. Another 20 wallets hold between 500 million and 1 billion XRP, cumulatively topping 10.68 billion. A further 65 accounts in the 100 million to 500 million range control over 11.67 billion XRP together. In total, fewer than 100 addresses hold more than 30 billion XRP.

Mid-Tier Holders: Seven-Figure Balances Remain Rare

Further down, million-plus balances are still uncommon. Only 1,324 accounts hold between 1 million and 5 million XRP — well under 1% of total addresses. Only 238 accounts fall in the 20 million to 100 million range, and 179 in the 10 million to 20 million range. Meanwhile, 28,606 accounts (about 0.7%) hold between 100,000 and 500,000 XRP, controlling a meaningful share of supply. Another 185,814 addresses hold between 10,000 and 25,000 XRP, accounting for close to 5% of all accounts and collectively holding about 2.79 billion XRP.

Bottom Layer: Over 60% of Wallets Own 0–20 XRP

Earlier percentile data provides broader context. The top 1% threshold was roughly 48,710 XRP, covering about 74,763 accounts. Beyond that, balances drop sharply: only 10% of accounts now hold more than 2,331 XRP, while the remaining 90% hold relatively small amounts. Specifically, more than 3.55 million accounts (over 60%) hold between 0 and 20 XRP, and about 2.55 million accounts (roughly 40%) hold 20–500 XRP. Many participants operate multiple wallets, likely inflating account counts and making the number of unique individuals holding over 10,000 XRP even lower.

Overall, XRP ownership continues to concentrate among a shrinking group of large holders, while average balances across the network decline steadily.
