The crypto market turned red on Friday as major tokens faced broad selling pressure. Hyperliquid (HYPE) suffered the steepest decline among large caps, tumbling 10.5% to $65.24, yet still generating $1.85 billion in daily volume and a $14.52 billion market cap. XRP fell 2.2% to $1.15 with $2.75 billion traded, while Ethereum (ETH) dropped 1.5% to $1,737.59, processing over $23.23 billion in volume and maintaining a $209.97 billion market value.

Bitcoin (BTC) showed relative resilience, slipping only 0.1% to $62,742.49, with $55.14 billion in daily turnover and a market cap above $1.25 trillion. Other major coins also declined: Solana (SOL) lost 1.5% to $67.87, BNB fell 1.2% to $598.00, TRON (TRX) eased 0.7% to $0.3279, and Dogecoin (DOGE) retreated 1.5% to $0.08719 on $1.13 billion in daily activity.

Smaller Tokens Buck the Trend, Attract Speculative Flows

Despite the broader weakness, several lower-cap tokens posted outsized gains. Bitway (BTW) led with a staggering 258.2% surge to $0.04453, generating $38.48 million in trading volume. Zest Protocol (ZEST) followed with a 95.4% jump to $0.2745 and $55.59 million in volume. HOME (HOME) rose 46.8% to $0.05642 on $111.92 million in trades. Degen (DEGEN) advanced 29.2%, Siren (SIREN) climbed 28.3%, while Epic Chain (EPIC), SHOW (SHOW), and FORM (FORM) all registered double-digit gains.

The divergence between established large-caps and smaller projects suggests a rotation of speculative capital into selected altcoins, even as risk appetite remains subdued for mainstream assets. The market ended the week on a sour note, with XRP, ETH, and HYPE bearing the brunt of the selloff, while Bitcoin's steadiness provided a slender buffer.
