XRP Las Vegas 2026 opened on Thursday, with the event running from April 30 to May 1. The gathering came right after the Bitcoin 2026 Conference at the Venetian earlier in the week, keeping Las Vegas in the spotlight of the digital asset industry for a second straight week.
Energy around the venue has been strong. Posts from attendees have drawn heavy engagement across social platforms, while community members who were unable to travel have openly shared their disappointment. Some participants were already talking about coming back next year.
Clarity Act timetable gives the event added weight
The timing has given the conference a policy angle that goes beyond a standard community meetup. Senator Thom Tillis said earlier this week that he will push for a markup of the Clarity Act once the Senate returns from recess on May 11. That is the clearest legislative commitment the bill has received in months.
The dispute over stablecoin yield, described as the main sticking point for the bill, now appears to be largely resolved. That leaves the path to a committee vote more open than it has been at any point this year. For XRP holders and builders, this lands after a two-year stretch shaped by the SEC case, Ripple’s legal win, and the current effort to build a broader market structure framework.
Ripple and RLUSD developments arrive in the same week
The event also coincides with several business updates tied to the XRP ecosystem. Ripple opened a new regional headquarters in Dubai this week. South Korea’s K Bank launched a blockchain payments pilot using Ripple infrastructure. RLUSD received approval from Dubai’s financial regulator, and OKX listed RLUSD across more than 280 trading pairs earlier in the week.
That mix has shifted attention away from short-term price moves and toward network buildout. The report said XRP was trading around $1.35 to $1.38, still below levels many in the community see as matching the network’s current utility and direction. In Las Vegas, the focus has been on infrastructure, regulation, and adoption rather than the token’s spot price.
