XRP traded at $1.44783 at 10:09 a.m. on March 23, up roughly 3.56% over the past 24 hours, after rebounding from levels near $1.36. The move pushed the token back toward the upper end of its current range, with buyers showing renewed control after an earlier pullback.

Recovery from the $1.36 area puts range highs back in focus

On the 4-hour chart, XRP had shifted from a prior upward impulse into a corrective phase before finding support near $1.36. That decline followed an earlier peak close to $1.48. Recent candles show a sharp bounce from support, and price has moved back above short-term moving averages, a sign that the near-term structure has improved.

Volume expanded during the selloff and again during the rebound. That matters. It points to active participation from both buyers and sellers rather than a thin move driven by weak liquidity. XRP is now pressing back toward the middle-to-upper portion of the Bollinger Band range, with momentum building as the recovery develops.

Shift in macro tone helped lift sentiment on March 23

Market tone changed sharply on March 23 as geopolitical tension appeared to ease. President Donald Trump said the U.S. and Iran had “very good and productive conversations” on resolving hostilities, and he added that he had ordered a five-day postponement of planned strikes to allow talks to continue.

Two days earlier, Trump had warned Iran to fully open the Strait of Hormuz without threat and said that failure to comply within 48 hours would lead the U.S. to strike Iranian power plants, beginning with the largest facility. The softer tone that followed reduced immediate geopolitical risk, and XRP moved off its lows as traders reacted to that opening.

RSI and MACD turn constructive while support shifts higher

Technical readings also strengthened. The RSI climbed to 57.41, moving above the midpoint and showing stronger momentum without reaching overbought territory. MACD turned positive as well: the histogram was near 0.00239, while the MACD line at about -0.01377 crossed above the signal line near -0.01616.

From a moving-average perspective, XRP is trading above the 14-period simple MA at $1.40784 and the 21-period simple MA around $1.42005. Those levels now serve as near-term support. Bollinger Bands place the lower band near $1.36628, the midline around $1.41832, and the upper band near $1.47036. Price has rebounded from the lower band and moved steadily upward, while volatility remains elevated.

$1.42 to $1.43 becomes the zone traders are watching

The next decision point is clear. If XRP can hold above the $1.42 to $1.43 area and keep momentum intact, a retest of the upper Bollinger Band near $1.47 becomes more likely. If the token falls back below the reclaimed moving averages, downside pressure could return and send price back toward the lower band.
