XRP climbed 3.3% in 24 hours to $1.1442, breaking above $1.1220 on volume more than 160% above average. Traders are now watching whether $1.14 holds as support and if the token can challenge the key $1.20-$1.25 resistance area.

XRP rose from $1.1080 to $1.1442 over the latest 24-hour session, posting a 3.3% gain and reclaiming the $1.14 level. The move followed last week’s selloff and stood out because buying continued after the break above resistance near $1.12, instead of fading quickly like several rebounds seen since February.

Volume spike pushes XRP through $1.1220 resistance

The key stretch came during the June 11 17:00 UTC session, when volume jumped to 120.2 million XRP, more than 160% above average. That burst of activity drove price through the $1.1220 resistance area. Buying remained firm into the close, sending XRP above $1.14 and marking one of the strongest hourly advances in weeks.

The rally also drew attention because it started from the $1.09 region, an area many analysts had already identified as major macro support. Volume backed the move. That matters, because recent recovery attempts had lacked strong participation and tended to fade under thin liquidity.

Ripple and Bitso add a new institutional use case for XRPL

On the news side, Ripple said Bitso’s Mexican peso-backed stablecoin MXNB will launch on the XRP Ledger and integrate with its Payments on Decentralized Exchange infrastructure. The stated aim is to expand regulated cross-border settlement between the United States and Mexico.

Ripple’s RLUSD and Bitso’s MXNB are designed to supply on-chain dollar and peso liquidity for enterprise payment flows. That adds another institutional use case for XRPL infrastructure. The initiative is built around XRPL’s Permissioned DEX, a framework targeted at regulated financial participants rather than retail users.

$1.14 becomes near-term support while $1.20-$1.25 remains the main test

After the breakout, $1.14 becomes the first support level bulls need to defend. Above that, the bigger area is still $1.20 to $1.25, the same zone where major recovery attempts have stalled this year. Several analysts have treated that range as the dividing line between a genuine trend reversal and another failed rally.

A clean move above $1.25 would shift attention toward $1.40 and possibly $1.50. If XRP fails again near resistance, the broader descending trendline in place since early 2026 remains intact, and focus would return to the $1.09 support zone. Some bearish analysts still point to the possibility of a final move toward $0.90 before a larger bottom forms.
