Ripple's native token XRP has been trading sideways for months, and technical analysts now spot a symmetrical triangle pattern on the daily chart, typically preceding a directional move of around 35%.
Analyst Ali Martinez, known as Ali Charts on X, said “$XRP consolidates in a symmetrical triangle, pointing to a potential 35% move.” His view gained traction as XRP holds near $1.40 after a nearly 6% weekly gain. Still, the token remains down more than 3% on the month and about 61% below its July 2025 all-time high of $3.40.
SuperTrend Flips Bullish, $1.55 Becomes Battle Line
Just two days ago, Ali noted that XRP's SuperTrend indicator turned bullish on the daily chart for the first time since Jan 17. He wrote that the market is now showing a buy signal after months of selling pressure. “A clean break and daily close above $1.55 would likely trigger a relief rally,” he added, setting the $1.90 zone as the next target. XRP briefly hit $1.50 before retreating.
Another analyst, Wolverinos, compared XRP's structure to a silver chart pattern, arguing that silver surged after breaking a multi-year symmetrical triangle, and XRP may be following a similar path after its own breakout in November 2024. He believes XRP is now in a second wave before a stronger third wave, with an upside target of $8 — purely a chart-based projection.
ETF Inflows Surge, Solana DeFi Gets wXRP
Fund flows also support XRP. Spot XRP ETFs posted their strongest week in three months, bringing in $55.39 million over five trading days, per SoSoValue. On Apr 15 alone, the products recorded $17.11 million in inflows, their best single-day result in ten weeks.
Meanwhile, the Solana ecosystem launched wrapped XRP (wXRP) through a partnership between Hex Trust and LayerZero. The token is backed 1:1 by XRP and is now available on Jupiter Exchange and Phantom wallet, expanding XRP's use across Solana DeFi.
