XRP climbed more than 3% over two days and moved back above $1.10, reaching an intraday high of $1.11 on July 3. The move came as ETF flows turned positive again, technical indicators improved, and Ripple rolled out payment operations in Europe.

ETF flows reverse after two days of outflows

US-based XRP ETFs posted roughly $7 million in net inflows on Thursday after two straight sessions of outflows. Total ETF inflows increased from $1.43 billion on June 1 to $1.49 billion, while average assets under management stood at $988 million. Price action followed the shift in flows closely, with XRP rebounding from the $1.02 low recorded on July 1 to reclaim the $1.10 area.

Supertrend flashes first buy signal since mid-June

Crypto analyst Ali Martinez said on July 3 that the Supertrend indicator had produced its first XRP buy signal since mid-June. He noted that the previous signal from the same tool came before a 14% rally. He also said the indicator had correctly flagged the last two major corrections, which measured 19% and 16%.

Supertrend is used to track trend direction and possible reversals by comparing price with a volatility-based band. On the daily chart, XRP has now broken above the descending trendline that had limited gains since late May. The token has reclaimed $1.10, with $1.12 acting as the nearest resistance. MACD is showing a bullish crossover, while RSI remains in the mid-60s, leaving XRP outside overbought territory for now.

Ripple starts payments operations in Europe under temporary MiCA authorization

Ripple has launched Ripple Payments operations across Europe after receiving temporary authorization as a Crypto Asset Service Provider under the EU’s MiCA framework. The timing drew attention because some rivals have been cutting back services to meet MiCA compliance demands. The development added to the positive tone around XRP.

Concerns over Ripple’s scheduled monthly unlock of 1 billion XRP appeared limited. According to the report, many investors believe most of the released tokens are usually placed back into escrow accounts, which reduces the perceived impact on the wider market.

Short positions cluster between $1.11 and $1.14

XRP is trading above both its 50-day EMA at $1.07 and 100-day EMA at $1.09. The upper Bollinger Band near $1.11 marks the primary resistance area, while the 200-day EMA at $1.14 remains another level to watch.

CoinGlass data shows a notable buildup of short positions between $1.11 and $1.12, with additional short concentration around $1.14. If buying continues, short covering could push XRP toward those levels. In futures, open interest reached 2.2 billion XRP on Friday, slightly above 2.18 billion a day earlier, though still below the June peak of 2.28 billion XRP. Santiment data also showed that average realized returns for XRP have fallen to their lowest level in about 12 years, indicating many holders are still sitting on paper losses.
