XRP is experiencing a stark disconnect between on-chain activity and price: daily transactions on the XRP Ledger have tripled year-over-year from roughly 1 million to nearly 3 million, while XRP price dropped 39.3% over the same period, currently trading at $1.39 with a 24-hour loss of 2.4%.

Daily Transactions Jump from 1M to 3M

Data from XRPScan shows XRP Ledger averaged 1.3 million daily transactions in February 2026, up from about 800,000 in May 2025. The lowest point was September 2025 with roughly 700,000 transactions before the surge began. January 2026 recorded 1.05 million, accelerating to 1.3 million the following month. The growth trajectory pushed daily activity toward 3 million, representing a roughly 3x increase year-over-year.

XRP Brazil posted on social media that the data is “surgical” and “this isn’t noise, it’s real adoption.” Analyst PassingAnt identified three drivers: real-world assets (RWAs), tokenized assets, and institutional payment rails. The shift reflects on-chain financial activity rather than retail speculation.

Price Remains Muted with 39.3% Yearly Drop

While network usage soared, XRP price stayed range-bound between $1.30 and $1.50 for most of the period. At press time, XRP trades at $1.39 with a 24-hour range of $1.39 to $1.45. One-year performance shows a 39.3% decline, largely mirroring the broader crypto market drawdown after Bitcoin’s October 2025 all-time high. Short-term performance shows modest recovery: 2.0% over seven days, 8.5% over 14 days, and 1.1% over 30 days.

Analyst Maxi noted XRP broke resistance levels but has yet to confirm with a daily candle close, calling Friday price moves “fake out Fridays.” The first short-term checkpoint sits at $2.36, a 70% gain from current levels. The divergence between surging network usage and stagnant price highlights a market where institutional adoption is real but speculative demand remains cautious. (Source: XRPScan, CryptoComLearn)
