Large XRP holders have pushed wallet growth to a fresh peak. Santiment reported that 332,230 wallets now hold at least 10,000 XRP, the highest level ever recorded on the XRP Ledger. The on-chain analytics firm said this expansion has been in place since June 2024, including periods when XRP traded below prior cycle highs.
Large XRP wallets keep rising through market volatility
The latest data points to continued growth in mid-sized and whale-level XRP addresses. In the source material, large holders appear to be leaning toward long-term positioning rather than reacting to short-term price moves. That steady increase in bigger wallets has become a closely watched signal inside the XRP market.
Santiment said rising counts of mid-tier and whale wallets are often read as a sign of stronger conviction from investors with a longer time horizon. For that reason, traders are tracking XRP wallet growth alongside price action as a gauge of broader sentiment. XRP also went through several volatile trading stretches during 2026, while the wider crypto market faced liquidation pressure and macro uncertainty.
More than 4,500 wallets fell in February before rebounding
Santiment also highlighted a temporary decline between February 6 and February 8, when the number of wallets holding more than 10,000 XRP dropped by over 4,500. The platform said there was no confirmed XRP-specific event directly tied to that move. Instead, the timing lined up with the broader crypto market sell-off and liquidation wave that hit major digital assets on February 5.
The pullback was short-lived. Wallet growth resumed soon after and eventually moved above previous levels, taking the network to its current all-time high. In Santiment’s reading, that recovery adds weight to the accumulation trend, with larger holders appearing more willing to add during weaker periods than to chase price during rallies.
Wallet growth remains a key on-chain signal for traders
Traders are not only watching XRP’s market price. They are also following blockchain utility, network activity, and long-term adoption trends. Santiment said historical patterns show that increasing numbers of large wallets often reflect growing confidence from investors prepared to hold through volatility. Based on the figures cited in the report, that trend is still intact for XRP.
