Tokenized US Treasuries expand rapidly on XRPL
The XRP Ledger has posted strong growth in tokenized US Treasuries, with total value rising about 8x over the past year to approximately $418 million, according to Evernorth data. The increase points to a broader shift in how traditional financial instruments are being issued and represented on blockchain-based infrastructure.
Tokenized Treasuries are increasingly viewed as a core bridge between traditional finance and on-chain markets. Their expansion on XRPL suggests that the network is moving beyond its long-standing identity as a payments-focused chain and becoming a more versatile layer for real-world asset issuance and settlement.
Transfer activity also accelerates
Growth was not limited to asset value alone. On-chain transfer volume tied to these instruments also surged. Data shows that 2026 year-to-date transfers reached roughly $352 million, compared with about $70 million during the entirety of 2025. That amounts to an increase of around 5x, indicating that tokenized assets on XRPL are not only being issued, but are also being moved and settled more actively.
This type of activity is often associated with more institutional-style market behavior. As issuance and transfer volumes grow together, XRPL appears to be taking on a larger role in the lifecycle of financial assets, from creation to movement to settlement on-chain.
Momentum will depend on regulation, liquidity, and issuance
Even so, the sustainability of this trend remains tied to several external factors. The report notes that future momentum will depend on regulatory developments, liquidity conditions, and continued asset issuance. If those elements continue to improve, XRPL could strengthen its position as infrastructure for tokenized securities and other real-world assets.
Overall, the latest figures underline a deeper convergence between blockchain rails and traditional financial systems. For market observers focused on the RWA sector, XRPL’s latest treasury data offers a clear signal that institutional engagement with on-chain financial infrastructure is gaining traction.
