Liquid Capital founder Yi Lihua said trading is inherently difficult and argued that the best opportunities tend to appear when market fear reaches an extreme. In a post cited by Odaily, he described a market that saw repeated pullbacks during bullish phases and repeated rebounds during bearish calls, including moves to $87,000 and rebounds from the $80,000-$81,000 area back to the key $84,000 level over the past month. He said that back-and-forth action was why he kept repeating the same message. YI said his principle is not to think about trading all the time. In his view, rallies do not move in a straight line, and neither do pullbacks. While maintaining a bearish view on corrections, he said he does not short the market and instead waits patiently for what he sees as the best dip-buying point. He added that he manages three different funds covering crypto investment, crypto trading and AI technology, and described crypto trading as the hardest of the three. He also said that high-quality AI stocks and crypto assets remain part of the trend, while asking whether investors would still have the confidence to buy during the next bout of extreme panic.

Liquid Capital founder Yi Lihua said the real opportunity appears when fear in the market reaches an extreme, arguing that investors should wait patiently for the best moment to buy the dip, according to Odaily.

Yi said trading itself is very difficult. He wrote that during periods when he remained bullish, the market went through multiple pullbacks. Later, when he stayed focused on a correction at 86, the market still saw several rebounds and even reached $87,000.

He added that over the past month, every move to $81,000 and $80,000 was quickly followed by a rebound to the key $84,000 level, leaving the market stuck in repeated back-and-forth swings.

On trading discipline, Yi said people should not think about trading at all times. Rallies do not move in a straight line, he said, and neither do pullbacks. Even while looking for a correction, he said he does not short the market and instead waits for what he sees as the best entry to buy.

Yi also said he founded and manages three different funds focused on crypto investment, crypto trading and AI technology. Of the three, he described crypto trading as the most difficult, calling it a process that runs against human instinct.

Looking ahead, he posed a question about whether investors would still be confident enough to buy during the next moment of extreme panic.

He also referenced Buffett being trapped in Google and Duan Yongping being trapped in Pop Mart, while saying he sees both situations as temporary. In his view, AI will continue to create breakthroughs and money printing will not stop, which is why he sees high-quality AI stocks and crypto assets as the trend. If the dip-buying point is chosen correctly, he said, investors will not remain trapped.
