Yuno has partnered with Crypto.com to integrate Crypto.com Pay into its global payment network, enabling merchants to accept cryptocurrency directly through Yuno-powered checkouts. The rollout makes crypto payments available alongside cards, wallets, and local methods across more than 1,000 payment options aggregated by Yuno.
Zero-Friction Crypto Acceptance for Merchants
Merchants can offer crypto at checkout without building new infrastructure, handling wallets, or managing exposure to price volatility. Settlement and pricing are handled within the Crypto.com Pay framework, while Yuno acts as the orchestration layer. For consumers, paying with cryptocurrencies they already hold becomes seamless, using familiar wallets without redirection or extra fees.
This integration reduces the decision cost for merchants. Previous waves of crypto commerce often failed because they forced binary choices on businesses. Orchestration platforms like Yuno allow crypto to compete on level terms with other methods, judged by conversion, abandonment, and cost metrics.
Why Payment Platforms Are Reconsidering Crypto
Global crypto ownership surpassed 659 million users in 2024, growing roughly 13% year-over-year. Over the same period, the number of businesses accepting crypto payments rose by nearly 50%. Younger consumers are the key cohort: surveys indicate that about half of Gen Z globally have owned or used cryptocurrency, and flexible payment stacks can lift ecommerce conversion rates by as much as 20%.
For payment aggregators, crypto is less about replacing cards and more about coverage—meeting demand across regions, demographics, and cross-border use cases without forcing merchants to predict where adoption will materialize.
Crypto.com Pay Stack and Compliance
Crypto.com Pay connects to a user base of over 140 million customers, supporting real-time pricing for multiple cryptocurrencies. Transactions execute through Crypto.com wallets with no additional onboarding at checkout. The service operates within SOC 2 and PCI standards, limiting incremental compliance burden for merchants already subject to payment and data protection rules.
Yuno abstracts the complexity: merchants integrate once and gain access to crypto alongside cards, local transfers, and alternative methods. This single-integration model is increasingly attractive for cross-border businesses where payment fragmentation remains a persistent cost.
What Comes Next for Crypto at Checkout
The Yuno–Crypto.com partnership does not suggest crypto payments are about to overtake traditional rails. Instead, it points to gradual normalization—crypto sits alongside other methods and earns its place based on usage rather than narrative. When users choose crypto at checkout and merchants base decisions on transaction data, adoption becomes sustainable.
