Odaily reported that on-chain investigator ZachXBT posted on X about the pressure he faces from the crypto community over his investigative work. According to his comments, community expectations are often difficult to meet, regardless of when he chooses to make investigation findings public.
ZachXBT said that when he publishes token manipulation investigations before insiders exit, he is accused of shorting the relevant projects. He cited RAVE, M and LAB as examples in this context. However, when he releases findings after an incident has already taken place, he said he is criticized for failing to warn the community in advance.
He added that repeatedly facing this kind of criticism has caused him to lose motivation to publish investigation reports publicly on a regular basis. Instead of dealing with public pressure, he said he is more inclined to continue carrying out investigative work privately. ZachXBT also criticized some community members for relying too heavily on his findings rather than conducting their own research.
